Professional Counselling
Psychotherapist and Student Life Counsellor
Psychotherapy support will allow families to access an additional layer of longer-term clinical psychotherapy for students who may benefit from more specialized therapeutic care. By handling clinical cases that require significant depth and time, this model acts as a “pressure valve”, allowing the Student Life Counsellor to remain focused on the immediate, day-to-day social and academic dynamics of the student body.
How it works
- On-Site or Virtual: Therapy is offered in-person at the Academy (on fixed days) or virtually, minimizing the “referral gap” and logistical friction for families.
- Integrated Communication: Unlike external referrals, Rachel will maintain a consistent loop with the school success team to ensure clinical goals support the student’s overall success at the Academy.
- Seamless Logistics: Rachel will manage all scheduling, documentation, and billing directly with families via a secure platform.
Families can learn more on the Rachel Atkins Psychotherapy website or book an initial consultation by contacting Rachel at [email protected]
