“Everyone already knows how the Y changed my life…and even through all my trials and tribulations, I managed to make it through high school. It is because of all the staff at the school that believed in me and pushed me to do my best and finish what I started and why I am where I am today. Words can’t even begin to explain how grateful I am that I had the opportunity to be a part of this new venture the YMCA started with the Academy. It was more then a success within the program in it self, as well as with the student prevailing and conquering their own personal conflicts; conflicts with school and conflicts with their personal lives.” - Graduating student 2008

“I personally have grown so much as an individual and i strongly believe that if I went to a public school I wouldn’t have been able to grow as I have. I am not sure where I am going from here, but where ever my path leads me, I will be forever grateful, to the YMCA Academy and the wonderful people there that have become like a second family to me, for taking me threw my teenage years!!
